About 1 Ohana 1 Community - Foster Care Assitance

About our Florida Foster Care Nonprofit

1 Ohana 1 Community Inc. is a resource for EVERYONE in the foster care system. This includes: foster children, foster parents, aging out teens, biological parents who are set for reunification. Also, providing guidance for new foster families in the process of becoming licensed.

Who are we? We’re a team of 4 foster moms with different levels and backgrounds of training and 1 non-foster mom with extensive experience in the foster care system, insight into available resources and knowledge that can help others.

What do we stand for? We aim to provide consistent and quality needs and demands of local foster families. Foster kids, foster parents, aging out teens, biological parents actively working their case plan that are set for reunification, and those in the recruitment phase of becoming licensed foster parents.

Where are we? We’re currently based in the Daytona Beach area of Volusia County, Florida. We meet those we serve where  they require us and offer items to help foster children and families  by providing supplies, clothing, furniture, formula, toys and many other items needed by foster children.

For emergency placements we have diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, blankets, and clothing (preemie to teens). This will be free of charge and is to be utilized since WIC takes time to get during the pandemic.

When? Currently, we are on call 24/7 for emergency placements, aging out teens, and reunification.
